Singapore Tenkasi Muslim Welfare Society formed in 1940 with the simple intent to help , support, unite and reach out to the new immigrants from Tenkasi. They understood the value of unity, the spirit of helping one another to succeed as a community, is something that we should preserve and continue.
Through better education and opportunities, I am glad to see that many of our members have become successful in their endeavours , there are teachers, doctors, lawyers, engineers, accountants and entrepreneurs contributing to our society.
Over the years, we have been working closely with MUIS, SINDA, Mendaki, FIM and other Indian Muslim Organisations to foster better solution for community matters.
It is heartening to see how far STMWS has come and how much it has contributed to uplift the community. One such achievement is the Waterfalls Student Care Centre, which provides before and after care services to all races.
I call out to the younger generation who are both highly educated and well informed to come forward and work with us for the betterment of our community.
